At Palladium Hotel Group, safety has always been our number one priority. And now, with the recent Covid-19 pandemic spreading around the world, we more concerned than ever about the health and wellbeing of our clients and employees.
It is the responsibility of all of us to prevent the expansion and contain the Covid-19 virus, and given the recent actions taken by various countries and governments in response to this international health emergency, as well as the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the protocol of local authorities in the countries in which we operate, we at Palladium Hotel Group find it necessary to temporarily close some of our hotels and resorts.
The domino effect starts with main source markets from Europe like Italy, Spain, France declaring state of alarm, and follows with local authorities, where we have properties, declaring a state of emergency in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Brazil, and ends with the Prime Minister of Canada recommending the population to limit travel: https://lp.ca/4ubu0a, the U.S. Department of State increasing the Global Health Advisory/Travel Alert to Level #4: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/travel-advisory-alert-global-level-4-health-advisory-issue.html which advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel, “if outside the United States to return home immediately using whatever commercial means are available”, “travel plans may be severely disrupted, and Americans may be forced to remain outside the United States for an indefinite timeframe”, due to the global impact of COVID-19. Same advice from UK foreign travel advice: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice related with the threat of COVID-19, and large list of restrictions to travel, reinforced with advices to return to origin countries.
We know that these are difficult times, but we hope that you can understand the measures we have chosen to take given the circumstances. The Palladium Hotel Group family is doing all that it can to control the situation and minimize its impact on both guests and employees. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will keep everyone updated on any further actions that must be taken.
We hope that things clear up soon, so that you can continue to enjoy the most unforgettable holidays in all our unique destinations. Please feel free to book your future stays on our website, where you can enjoy our flexible cancelation policy and payment at hotel, no risk. We will get through this together! Thank you again for understanding.
For now we urge everyone stay safe and practice all recommended precautions. We will get through this together! Thank you again for understanding.
